Magic Mushroom Smoothie

Mushrooms go everywhere in my food these days. In my morning cacao, in my banana ‘nice’ cream, in my main meals (perhaps more obviously!), and every morning in my smoothie.

I won’t bombard you with all the reasons why here, because I have already done it in a detailed, and hopefully interesting, blog post, which you can read here.

Today take this recipe + get it made. This is one sure fire way of doing a whole lot of good for your body!

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 frozen bananas (peel first + chop small before freezing, to make for easy blending)

  • 1-2 medjool dates

  • 1/2 avocado

  • A big handful of green leaves (spinach, lettuce, kale - as you choose)

  • Optional: a few pinches broccoli, alfafa, kale, kohl rabi, red clover (any small) sprouts (see why these are so good in my blog, here)

  • 1 1/2 cups of chosen dairy free milk

  • 2-4 tbs raw cacao powder (more or less as your taste buds like)

  • 1 tsp of medicinal mushroom powder (I use this one) - you don’t need a lot to pack a nutritional punch!

Method:

  1. Put in a blender - blend!

  2. Enjoy!
